Businesses or Federal Agencies

You can file a complaint about businesses or federal agencies with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) through the ADA.gov website.

Businesses or State Agencies

Instances of discrimination can also be addressed by the Washington Human Rights Commission.

ADA & Housing

The ADA applies to public or common areas of an apartment building, but not the apartments themselves. You can file a complaints about common areas of an apartment building with ADA.gov.

Complaints about the private areas of multi-family housing units are covered under the Fair Housing Act. You can file a complaint with the Housing and Urban Development.
